PARTICLE BOARD SCREWS
Particle board screws are specialized self-tapping screws with a skinny shank and wide (coarse) threads, both in relation to the width of the shank and the distance between the threads. Particle board screws are similar to drywall screws, but are available in shorter lengths than standard drywall screws. The point of the particle board screw is always sharp.
Particle board screws are designed specifically for use in dense woods, especially man-made types such as chipboard and particle board. Bugle head is most common; flat head is available as well.
