Click on the dropdown menu for “Product:” Click
on the specific product on the dropdown menu which you seek; it
will take the primary position on the dropdown menu. The Detailed
Search page will refresh itself to display dropdown menus appropriate
for product features and dimensions specific to the product you
selected. For example, selecting “Screws” will display
Product, Type, Size, Style, Material, and Finish dropdown menus.

Click on the dropdown menu for “Type:” Click on
the specific product type on the dropdown menu which you seek; it
will take the primary position on the dropdown menu. In the same
fashion, the Detailed Search page will refresh itself to display
dropdown menus appropriate for product type features and dimensions
specific to the product you selected.

Select from as many of the other dropdown menus as you wish in the
same fashion. The more product features you select from the Detailed
Search dropdowns, the more specific (and probably shorter) your
search results will be. The opposite is true as well. For example,
at this writing, a search for ¼-20 Machine Screws brings
up 324 items, but a search for ¼-20 Flat Head Philips Drive
Machine Screws brings up 29 items. Special Note for Size Dropdown
Menu: Size is described by a hyphenated diameter-thread count per
inch. Available lengths can be seen on the list of search results
you will receive upon completion of dropdown menus.
4.
When finished selecting from the dropdown menus, click the blue
Search button to the right and below the menus. A page or multiple
pages of InStock Fastener items which share the features you entered
will appear as a search result.
